8 Reasons Why Models Make Bad Sex Buddies

Intriguing, in demand, and let's face it, hot, models are every man's sexual idol. And there's no mystery why: they're designed to be. Plenty of research goes into finding out what look intrigues people and then finding it.

Once I had built up my confidence with women a number of years ago, I thought hey, why not shoot for the women every guy wants:

 models? I went on a bit of a model binge for a while, which was easier for me as a photographer, considering I am in contact with models on a consistent basis.

Before long, I discovered something. Not only are these women real people, but they're usually high maintenance, especially considering they're constantly fawned over.

you want the good ones

As a player, you're looking for fun, self-confident women to have sex with — that's what you are (or are becoming), and that's what it takes to expose oneself to a woman to that degree without a commitment. Once you become confident enough with the ladies, no woman is too hot to approach.

Once you get past all that calculated image-making models undergo, though, you may find that those you would place on a pedestal are not, when viewed up close, all they seem to be.

Read on to find out why models may not suit your needs.

1- They are self-centered

You know the type: needs compliments like others need air, likes to be the center of attention, has to get her own way or she may pout, etc. This description is not ideal even for an acquaintance, never mind a casual roll in the hay.

Because models are so image conscious, many feel they must maintain a certain image of themselves to others, at all times. That means they won't want to do more adventurous or "nasty" things in bed that may taint the perfect image they've created. As a result, you'll find many (the more insecure ones, at least) who can't let their hair down, so to speak.

2- They see you as a dildo

Many models, so used to being the center of attention, see themselves as the star, always checking themselves out in the mirror or constantly posing during sex to make sure they look good. They're always "on," never themselves, whoever that may be underneath it all. Funny thing is, they're not posing for you so much as themselves. Often, you might as well be a dildo.

I had one woman, Karen, sit on top of me and ride me with her eyes closed for several minutes, totally detached, before I finally just said, "Hey, how's the sex you're having going?"

Some of them aren't that great when naked, and what's worse, they might be awful in bed...

3- They look good in clothes, but...

Models are chosen for specific campaigns because they make the clothes look good, and vice versa. Also, remember that everything you see on a billboard or runway is controlled — lighting, camera angle, makeup, hair, etc. But when dressed in their own clothes or, more importantly, no clothes, many aren't all that.

Although we've finally moved away from the "waif model," let's just say that many skinny models would do better to keep their clothes on. And up close, all the makeup and hair products can repel even the horniest male. In bed, you want more of a natural beauty to keep you going, not someone who only looks good in two dimensions.

4- They may not have much experience

Although they make love to the camera very well, get a model in bed and she may turn out to be a corpse. That's what happened to me a few years ago with Nella, a drop-dead gorgeous Spanish beauty who was obviously so used to being admired that she thought it would continue in the sack. I had to spell out for her the fact that we'd both have more fun if we did things together, rather than just me doing things to her. I suggested a 69, and she batted her eyelashes and said, "No hago eso (I don't do that)," implying she never "has to." Nice picture, bad lay.

In other cases, it's ironic to think that many beautiful models are not approached at all because they're too hot and therefore intimidating. Sometimes there just aren't enough confident players around to give these women the experience they need and deserve. As a result, a drop-dead gorgeous woman will often have had a few experiences with ballsy guys that she bases too much on, and not be that comfortable being casual. It follows that she may not have that much sexual experience either.

5- They are opportunistic

In order to get ahead, many models will often try to use guys to get something. As soon as I mention that I'm a photographer (when asked), you should see their eyes light up. Most will immediately pursue the "who do you shoot for" line of questioning. But I've compared notes, and they do this with other men too. If you're in big business, what contacts do you have? If you run a small business, what merchandise can you get me? I even brought along a friend of mine who's a college professor one night as a wingman, and when he told the models we met what he did, one asked if he could introduce her to that Alfred Einstein guy because, like, didn't he teach college at one point or something?

This, of course, does not apply to all models — the down-to-earth, established model, for example, would be a clear exception. But generalizations are always useful, and let this one be a warning.

6- Their beauty throws you off

Try too hard too early on in your budding player career with a very hot model — after all, it is an ego boost — and you'll find yourself acting more like a boyfriend than player.

Once you are ready, confidence-wise, for an extremely hot head-turner, remember that the antidote to letting her run the show is, of course, a judicious use of Negative Hits.

7- They are always traveling

As a player, you're looking to establish a stable of women you can have great, casual sex with more than just once, and ideally on your schedule. That means that they need to be available, which models, because of their grueling schedules, often aren't.

8- They won't try many things

Still other models will use their beauty as an excuse not to be adventurous in bed, either because they believe it or they're just shy. Like an 8-year-old piano wiz who's not allowed to play basketball for fear of hurting his hands, models make a living from their overall appearance and need to protect that.

Last year a very sweet model I met in Montreal, Marie-Pierre, kept stopping me while we were getting down to it in my hotel room, saying, "I can't because of my shoot next week." If I had asked her what we could do, I'm pretty sure she would have said clean-shaven kissing and the missionary position, as long as I wore a mouth guard and oven mitts. I told her to trust me, that I had both our present and her next-week interests in mind, and she finally relaxed a little. But not that much.

in the eye of the beholder

Remember that the points I've listed here are generalizations and don't necessarily disqualify a woman, depending on your personality and mood. All I'm saying here is if you do opt to sleep with a model — which has definitely worked out for me a few times — don't say I didn't warn you.
